Overview

Downings is situated on the beautiful Rosguill peninsula of Donegal at the start of the spectacular “Atlantic Drive”.  The village consists of caravan parks, holiday homes and a handful of shops.  Many of the holidaymakers come from Northern Ireland, particularly from the west of the province.

Downings has been a UBM centre for a long number of years, and the team always receives a very warm and friendly welcome.  Often we meet Mums and Dads who had attended UBM themselves as kids!

The large sandy beach is one of Donegal’s finest and is ideal for children’s games, sand-modelling and family events.  UBM activities are usually run on the sand immediately on your right as you drive onto the beach by the access road.

In recent years the centre has given many good contacts with kids and parents. Blessing and encouragement has always come from Christians from the local churches, who are always keen to support the work.
