Training Days

Since our volunteers come from all over the UK, the Republic of Ireland and across the rest of Europe, most of our training is “on the job” during the mission weeks themselves. We also send some resources in the post to those coming for the first time.

However, we aim to have a couple of training days each year for our ‘senior personnel.’ These are opportunities to get ready for the summer missions. 

These are usually

            Leicester:        2nd Saturday in May

            Belfast:            Saturday evening in April.

We also have a “launch night” for Irish UBM. This is usually on the 3rd Saturday evening in June.

Finally, each Spring we run a leadership training weekend (in partnership with Young Life) which seeks to equip young people for future leadership with a particular emphasis on what that looks like in a UBM (and YL) context.
